Obediah Thomas

Obediah Thomas has performed school assemblies as half of Razzle Bam Boom since 1999. He is a master at engaging K-6 audiences using music, comedy, role-playing, and audience participation. Obediah offers three solo programs on the topics of character building and bullying prevention.

The newest show, Stop, Think, Act, is a light-hearted theatrical performance that addresses social-emotional learning (SEL). This fun assembly uses song and role-playing to demonstrate how students can manage emotions such as anger, anxiety, and sadness.

Bye Bye Bully uses role-playing, songs, and audience interaction to deal with the important topic of bullying. With delicacy, students learn to handle any bullying situation, whether they are the bullied or the bystander. Obediah defines various bullies—verbal, physical, social, and cyber—in a very light, artistic, and engaging way.

Character Counts Show is an official “Character Counts!- Pillars of Character” school assembly based on the principles outlined by the Josephson Institute. This production uses humor, songs, and audience participation to demonstrate the concepts of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, citizenship, and caring.

The Hydro Game Show is program about water science and conservation. The following topics are addressed: the value of water, the journey of water, the water cycle, the states of water, why we should conserve water, how to be water-wise. The audience is separated into two teams (the left side of the room versus the right side). For the presentation, our performer sets up a very large rear-projected screen, that we provide, that imparts important water science information, images, videos, and of course the questions and answers for the game. The students have a blast trying to select the right answer and score points for their team.  Students also get involved in other interactive activities that do not involve the screen. We offer two versions of the show for grades K-2 and 3-6 in the show.

Kids for Kindness is a LIVE empathy & inclusion assembly. Obediah and Puey-the-Pig are the stars of the show! Obediah and Puey use humor, original songs, and audience participation to address the following topics: inclusion, empathy, accepting others who are different, manners, and spreading kindness at school. This new assembly program is ideal to book for the Great Kindness Challenge, the Random Act of Kindness Week, or as a positive way to start the new school year.

Why different pricing? Our elaborate, colorful set requires more set-up time. Also, this show utilizes the talents of our two most experienced performers.
