Shows That Teach provides quality motivational school assembly programs; each of which supports many educational standards. Choose from a variety of live productions on topics such as social-emotional learning, kindness, water conservation, character counts, kindness, growth mindset, music, recycling, red ribbon, PBIS, and bully prevention.
In "Bye Bye Bully" presenter Obediah Thomas enacts the different types of bullies and bullying situations. He demonstrates how we each play a role in these situations and suggests positive strategies to deal with bullying situations.
“The Character Counts Show” is an entertaining and motivational assembly performed by Obediah Thomas. Based on the principles outlined by the Josephson Institute, this engaging show addressed Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Citizenship, and Fairness.
In "Stop, Think, Act" Obediah Thomas, outlines various situations and emotions elementary aged students may experience. He acknowledges that emotions are natural, but that we can all manage our reactions and resulting behavior using certain strategies. Obediah uses sketches involving audience members, songs, and humor to demonstrate social-emotional concepts.
“The Crazy Bottles & Cans Show” - A school assembly about recycling bottles and cans. This interactive show uses original songs, humor, and competitions to give K-6 students entertaining lessons about why it is important to recycle.
Say YES to Success! is a dynamic musical-comedy show about making positive choices. Ideal for the beginning of the year or before standardized tests, it will motivate students to have a positive attitude in school and in life. This assembly works well for Red or Yellow Ribbon weeks.
All That Trash inspires students and teachers to reduce, reuse, and recycle by demonstrating the reasons why in an extremely fun and musical way. The performers consulted recycling experts throughout California for the most helpful, up-to-date recycling information. What a great way to teach science and explore our environmental impact.
250 Years of American Music is an extremely fun revue of musical genres from the past two centuries: bluegrass, Hawaiian, western, jazz, blues, patriotic, folk, and rock 'n roll. Mark and Obediah refer to a large map backdrop as they take students on a tuneful trek across America.
In Voices for Good Choices, Mark and Obediah address the topics of teamwork, respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance through fun student role-playing sketches onstage.
"Kids For Kindness Tour" - Obediah and Puey-the-Pig are the stars of the hit video series Start With Heart. This new assembly program is ideal to book for the Great Kindness Challenge, the Random Act of Kindness Week, or as a positive way to start the new school year.
