Grace Fisher
In 2014 during her senior year of High School, Grace Fisher’s spine was ravaged by a virus leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. In a Rehabilitation Hospital, she was introduced to music therapy and adaptive art. This not only helped strengthen her neck but also helped heal her mind and soul.
Grace opened an "Inclusive Arts Clubhouse" in La Cumbre Plaza, Santa Barbara for people of all abilities to help other children with disabilities through art and music. She is a gifted visual artist and she graduated UCSB in Music Composition and is an inspiration to all.
Disability Awareness Presentation with Q & A: Grace loves to speak to schools about disability and how she has navigated her life in a wheelchair. Questions are always welcomed and open a door into a much-needed dialogue about disability.
“Paint with your mouth" activity: Grace offers a unique "paint with your mouth" activity so students can try to put themselves in her shoes.
Schedule Grace now to help teach your class the importance of inclusion and help make the world a kinder place for people of all abilities!
