The UCSB Dance Company offers We Dance for You!  a high-energy, entertaining show with educational interludes.

The company features 16 students majoring in dance at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Under the direction of Delila Moseley, with MC Nathan Burdine-Ortega leading the show, these budding artists perform dances from swing to jitterbug, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and Mexican folkloric. Their repertoire includes pieces staged specifically for young audiences by professional choreographers commissioned to create works that are both accessible and educational.

With its humor, awe-inspiring moves, and audience engagement, We Dance for You! is an uplifting performance.

The 30- to 45-minute show can be followed by a question-and-answer period (grades K-6).

The UCSB Dance Company, established in 1990 and directed by Delila Moseley, is comprised of outstanding senior dance majors who have been selected by the dance faculty. Over the years, through their performances and residencies, the company has benefited the UC Santa Barbara campus community as well as Santa Barbara arts patrons, young adult audiences, and school children of all ages in the area. The company’s local, regional, national, and international performances have brought them in contact with a large, diverse population while raising public awareness of the UC Santa Barbara Dance Program. The company has toured annually to numerous countries in Europe for nine years, from 2011-2019, and in 2022 completed their tenth tour. Each year the company features works by guest choreographers, from reconstructions of classic works of modern dance to widely accessible contemporary choreography.
