Free Annual Performance Event
The Children’s Creative Project presents a free annual performance event featuring professional touring artists at either the Santa Barbara Bowl, the Arlington Theatre or the Granada Theater for 2000 to 4000 elementary students from Santa Barbara South County schools. During morning school hours, the performances feature performing companies that tour nationally and internationally.
Study guides for classroom teachers are provided prior to the performances to expand the students’ experiences.
The Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation’s EdOut and UCSB Arts & Lectures often co-sponsor these events. Grants from The Towbes Foundation provide student bus transportation.
Upcoming Annual Free Performance Event
The Children's Creative Project presents Taiko Center of Los Angeles at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Monday, April 9, 2018. Taiko is the exciting and visual art of Japanese folk drumming that incorporates movements based on martial arts techniques. We are proud to co-sponsor this performance with Santa Barbara Bowl EdOut and look forward to welcoming more than 4,000 students to the performance.
